Rainbow in Mourning
What happens to a writer when the murderers who are her muses stop?
About the book
Rainbow in Mourning follows the lives of eight murderers in a sleepy little town nestled within violet-covered hills. Some may be sociopaths, some psychopaths, and some have simply reached their personal limits. Their motivations may even resonate with you.
As writers we find our muses in the most unusual places. Our muses choose us, and choose when to strike at our sleeping imaginations and help us create something magical. All we need to do is wave our wand, a pen, over paper and create a new world for people to lose themselves in.
The stories are told by the Author. Trapped in a life she never wanted, she desperately seeks to carve out some small semblance of happiness and rekindle dreams that seem to have died away. An unlikely muse, the seven arched colors across the sky so often synonymous with joy and hope, leads her to the horrors of her neighbors' fates. She takes the woeful tales she finds in the local news, spins the stories, and uses the gruesome deaths of others to further her career.
But what happens when her muse is gone? Where will she find her inspiration when there aren't any murders being committed?
